A busy Saturday night in Freeport - our "go-to" spots were packed and I'd heard good things about Antonia's. GINORMOUS portions, but really tasty - we had enough for lunch the next day. It was a birthday celebration for a 9 year old, and our server took it in stride. One thing that was kinda odd was the pastrami - it was flavorful, but the roll seemed wrong. The stir fry chicken had a greek dressing that was surprisingly good. I'm not sure the onion rings were worth the calories. Considering that the place was packed, our server was great, and, best of all the 9 year old was happy!
Stopped in for lunch. Nice place, tons of stuff on the menu. Went with the Maui pizza and an IPA beer. Very tasty.
I seem to always wind up here when coming into Freeport on business travel. It's just far enough away from the real busy area of downtown to enjoy the easy in and out of the restaurant. I really like eating at the lounge area and the food is prepared very well and it's quality food. The haddock chowder is exceptional. I ordered a bowl and I think it had a whole Haddock fish in the bowl. Extremely tasty and highly recommended. Filled me up and made eating my gyro a challenge. Lexi, the bartender was very pleasant and friendly and great service from her. Solid choice in Freeport for food and service.
We ordered takeout after a day of sightseeing and everything was nicely prepared and ready on time despite the restaurant being very busy, a good sign! The haddock chowder was fantastic! Loaded with haddock and the flavor was superb. We also ordered a veggie wrap which was bursting with delicious, fresh vegetables and cheese, and it came with a side of perfectly cooked fries. Would definitely go back to Antonia's!
Ordered a large pizza to go and was still hot when I brought it inside my apartment. Acropolis: chicken broccoli, tomato, and feta cheese and I opted for the white sauce. Served dressing on the side for dipping. Even with the added pizza liner underneath it was soaked in grease but was still very tasty. The pizza alone had fresh, filling toppings and the salad dressing was fun to pair it with. I liked their greek inspired pizza menu and can't wait to go back and try another pie from them.
